"Wolf In The Fold, in fantastic, explosive pulsations, hearkens back to the rawer, unbridled history of the Wild West"
Thank you Cody Conard and Big Takeover Magazine for this review!!
"Wolf In The Fold is marvelously good, original to the point of being unprecedentedly inventive. The combination of Spaghetti Western flavors merging with acid rock results in ferociously goosed up phantasmagoric cowboy rock n’ roll. The Green Door does hallucinatory country rock with style!"
"The Green Door is a band that is tough to pigeon-hole within a singular genre, and that’s exactly what makes them an exciting array of soul and intensely-rich influence."
"I love the Green Door, an SF group with a sound best described as Morricone-core: psychey-acidy-surfy sounds in a reverby spectrum that evoke spaghetti westerns and desert madness."
"Incorporating a number of elements keep the material fresh and emotive and add layers of depth, and The Green Door do it with expert composition and timing"
"The music of Green Door is a gorgeous blend of the classic garage band mentality with an infusion of raw, rhythmic driving 1960’s psych rock."
Album release party for The Green Door at Bottom of the Hill San Francisco Dec 15, 2017
“Seriously psychedelic with a 60s acid rock sound, their new release reminds one of Jefferson Airplane with a Spaghetti Western atmosphere. In addition, The Green Door combines all that with a garage band style that channels the wild west.”
"A fiercely effective psych-rocker that reminds of acts like The Brian Jonestown Massacre."

"Wolf in the Fold is a perfect union of sonic imagery and rock n roll. That devil's crossroads where Federale and The Black Angels meet The Animals and Dick Dale. From the hills, they came. They vanquished their enemies in a bloodbath and rode off into the sunset. A last minute entry for the best albums of 2017 list."

It's hard to imagine, even though SF is the birthplace of all things psychedelic, SF has never had an official Psychedelic music and arts festival. Until now. The 1st yearly festival titled The Gathering of the Tribes was organized by Dennis Gonzalez founder of the SF Great Society, a musician and artist collective. The Gathering of the Tribes will honor the psychedelic arts that have found resurgence in San Francisco in the last decade. It will also honor the city's historical relationship with this genre that also deeply influenced modern music as a whole. The Green Door is committed to this movement and artistic reawakening and are honored to be included in its expression through The Gathering of the Tribes psych fest.
The psych fest will blow your mind on Sunday, September 13 from noon to midnight. Don't miss it! Read more about the fest here: http://www.gatheringofthetribessf.org/
